Bookmyuniroom is a student accommodation platform, providing living options to students traveling abroad for studies.
Essentially it acts as a real estate broker, with a specialized focus only on students who are going to a new country for studies, and accommodation which is specifically suitable for them.

BMUR partners with various types of student accommodation providers including PBSAs, real estate agents, paying guest accommodations etc, across the world, and lists their inventory of beds on its website.
This is then offered to students going to various educational institutes in those cities and localities. Based on multiple criteria, BMUR helps students make the most informed choice and optimal selection of accommodation, which is ready for them when they arrive.
Typically students must take a 10 month lease for any accommodation option. BMUR gets a revenue share of the total rental of 10 months from the provider, which can range between 15%-25%.

Family friends and neighbours, they have known each other for a long time. The idea appealed to both and they decided to start this venture.
Why did you decide to start this
company?
Ravi's daughter was going abroad for her studies. He underwent the process of finding accommodation in the UK for her ,first hand. This sparked a thought that this was a market worth entering.
